I’m not what you would call “political,” although I am married to one of the biggest political junkies around, so I do end up following a lot of the news and commentary regarding the election.
And I am oh-so-tired of it and am so glad that tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 4 is ELECTION DAY!
Please, make the time to vote. The polls are open all day. Visit your state’s secretary of state department’s website to find out where you need to go to cast your ballot.
I read on Common Sense with Money that SitterCity is even offering free or cheap babysitting so you can go vote without your kids if you want. Many community groups will drive you to the polls, so you won’t have to worry about transportation.
Please vote. We don’t get very many chances to really make our choice heard. You pay these people’s salaries and you live with the consequences of their decisions. Even if you’re not “into” politics, politics is “into” YOU and everything that affects your life. Your vote DOES matter!
