7 Gift Ideas for People Who Have Everything

A gift is a token of appreciation... a way for you to express your sentiments for someone close to you.

When you can find the perfect gift for an important person in your life, it can make you feel wonderful inside.

But what happens when the person you are shopping for has everything they need? What if they tell you they don't want anything?

Well, you could be very frugal and just not get anything... but, if you just can't do that, here are some gift ideas for folks who have everything:

1) Photo gifts. Put together a mini scrapbook, a photo DVD, or a photo collage of photos that are important to the recipient.

2) Create a love jar. Write down everything you love about this person on a separate scrap of paper and put it in a decorated glass jar. Whenever your recipient is feeling down, they can reach into the jar and pull out a sentiment from you.

3) Food. Make someone a special treat, or get them a gift certificate for a favorite restauarant. You could also give them a coupon for a special dinner together (cooked by you, of course!)

4) The gift of pampering. Get the person a spa treatment, a massage, or a manicure. Or get a super soft bathrobe, bath salts, or comfy socks.

5) Note cards and postage. Don't let letter writing become a lost art. Provide your recipient with the tools to keep in touch. Or you could also give a calling card or a gift certificate for car detailing.

6) Experiences. Give someone an experience. Your gift to a young child could be to take them to the zoo for the day. Or you can give the gift of babysitting to a young couple. Give a family the gift of a matinee at the movies or a night of bowling. Teach a friend to make bread from scratch or how to change the oil in his/her car.

7) Donate to a good cause. Select a charity you know your recipient would love to support, and make a donation in his/her name.

These ideas are simple, many of them low-cost, and none of them take up space or require batteries. What's better than that?
