Well, the Northern Cheapskate was snowed in this week.
So what’s a frugal mom to do with her kids all day?
Play outside. Put on those warm clothes and head for the snow. When you’re done, you can warm up with some hot cocoa.
Do some baking. My pre-schooler loves to help pour ingredients into a bowl. And of course, we all love sampling the finished product.
Make some playdough. You can everything from cookie cutters to plastic combs to make interesting creations.
Create a sensory bucket. You can use rice, cornmeal, or water to create a sensory-filled play experience for your little ones.
Play a board game. Sometimes its fun to make up new rules for an old game. Or pull out a deck of cards. You could play a game, or build card houses.
Do some arts and crafts. Print out some free coloring book pages or make a holiday art project. Be creative!
When it comes to finding frugal, fun things to do with your kids indoors, you’re only limited by your imagination.
