This year I delegated the family holiday newsletter to my husband. After all, he’s the one who has his own book and everything.
But since not everyone has someone with writing and design experience in their family, I’ve put together a list of some free holiday newsletter inspiration.
HP has a great guide for putting together a good holiday newsletter. They also have free templates to help you create your newsletter.
Microsoft Office – the ol’ industry standard for all things letter-like - has its own collection of free holiday newsletter templates.
Google Docs also has a variety of free designs for holiday newsletters to download.
My Newsletter Maker has a free, simple to use, program for creating a nice looking holiday letter that you can either send via e-mail or print and send via snail mail. There are several designs and layouts to choose from. I’ve been having some trouble getting this site to work consistently, but if you can get it to work, it’s pretty neat.
Epson’s Creative Zone also has a collection of free templates to download for your holiday letter.
You can e-mail your newsletter (compress the file so it isn’t gigantic!) or you can print it off at home. We typically print one color copy at home and then have additional color copies made at a printer. It’s cheaper to do it that way, plus, it takes a LOT less time.
Do you do a holiday newsletter? How do you save money on your newsletter?
