Simplifying My Life

in simplify

The craziness of the holidays, along with a few days’ break from blogging, has served me a stiff drink of reality.

I need to simplify my life. Too often, I try to be all things to all people, and seldom have any scrap of myself left when the day is done.

For the sake of my family, my friends, and my blog readers, I need to simplify.

I’ve been reading a lot of great blogs over the past year who are inspiring me in this personal journey.

Leaving Excess
– One of my favorite blogs of all time (and not just because Michelle is from Minnesota!). Michelle combines a hearty dose of reality along with some great advice for living frugally. The name of her blog is perfect.  I find myself agreeing with nearly every post and wishing I could write like her.

Zen Habits
– I enjoy this blog because Leo often writes about what I have been too cautious to think.

Mom Advice -I adore Amy’s approach to household management.  She helps remind me what life is really all about.

Simple Mom -Anyone who knows me, knows I am pretty practical.  Simple Mom is the type of mom I aspire to be!

So what does all of this mean for you, my readers?  It means that in 2009, not only will I focus on living frugally, I will also try to live more simply.   I may not be the source for the latest and greatest deals.  I may not even post every day.  But I will do my best to help you live a frugal, simple, and most importantly, a happy life.
