Free Tree Seedling at McDonalds in Minnesota

Celebrate Arbor Day with a free tree at McDonalds.

McDonalds Minnesota Forest Industries and KARE 11 have teamed up to give away 57,000 free seedlings on Arbor Day, Friday, April 24.

Red Pine seedlings – the Minnesota state tree – will be available at more than 225 participating McDonald’s in Minnesota, while supplies last. No purchase is necessary.

You can also enter to win one of five large trees that will be given away and planted in the winner’s yard.  You can pick up an entry form at McDonald’s, download the entry form, fill out the entry form that comes with your free seedling, or simply by mailing your name, address and phone number to: Minnesota Tree Contest, 903 Medical Arts Building, 324 W. Superior St., Duluth, MN 55802. The entry deadline is May 15.

You can also get 10 free trees when you become a member of the Arbor Day Foundation. Cost of a six-month membership is $10.
