Frugal folks always want to get the most value for their money. But we’re human. Sometimes we buy things and change our minds. Sometimes we only wear an item of clothing a few times.
I’ve been hearing a lot about swap parties – where you bring clothing, accessories, etc., to a party of your friends and family and trade items. You and all of the guests walk away with new stuff, but you haven’t spent a dime.
I like the idea of a swap party. It seems like a good plan to swap nice quality items you no longer want with other people who feel the same way about their stuff.
I’m just wondering if any of you have tried it. I read a short intro on how to host a clothes swap party, but what I’d really love to know is what your experience has been. Did everyone leave the swap feeling like they got something good? Did you use a set of guidelines? What kinds of things did you swap?
