What the Cheapskate is Reading

I’d love to say I’m enjoying a lazy Sunday afternoon, but honestly, this week has been full of activity and today is no different.

Despite the chaos, I still found a little time to read some great posts from around the blogosphere. I hope you find some time to read these, too.

Have you had a bad year? Then writing the Christmas cards is probably a lot like getting a root canal.  FiLife has some great advice for The Recession Christmas Card: What to Write About a Tough Year.

As someone who is currently struggling to shed a few pounds (okay, it’s more like 30), I have found that the simplest solution is Eating less to be lighter (Hmmmm… kind of like spending less to have more money….)

As a self-proclaimed Cheapskate, I delighted in the Wise Bread post 20 Signs That You Were Raised by TRUE Money-Savers.

When you’re short on space, sometimes the hardest challenge is deciding When to Keep and When to Purge Baby Items.  Kacie has some great suggestions (and there are some good ideas in the comments, too) for how to deal with all of the baby stuff.

And finally… a round-up of my favorite posts would not be complete without something from The Simple Dollar.  Trent has a great post about Brand Preferences and Frugality.  It really makes you think about the value of what you’re purchasing.
