Looking Ahead: My Resolutions for 2010

New Year’s resolutions are so old school.

I prefer to think of them as “How I’m going to Rock in 2010.”

Okay, not really. I just like setting goals because I’m kind of a geek like that.

Here are my 2010 New Year’s Resolutions:

Finally lose that 20 pounds I’ve been saying I’m going to lose.
Really. I. Am. Not. Kidding. It’s time for this excess weight to go.

Trim my food budget in half. This means significantly cutting back on eating out and working the coupons a bit harder to get better deals on groceries. I think this goal goes quite nicely with my plan to lose 20 pounds.

Potty train my twin boys. I am so sick of dealing with diapers. This year is going to be the year that we are FREE of them forever! (Or at least until old age!)

Make more environmentally-conscious decisions. I know this is pretty broad, but I have some ideas in mind. I want to reduce our utility bills, reduce the amount of paper in our lives, and buy more things secondhand.

Read at least six novels.
It seems like all I ever read are blog posts, magazines, parenting books, and personal finance books. I’m craving an escape into the world of fiction, and I’ll be heading off to the library to find some good reads this year.

So that’s my list. What are your New Year’s Resolutions?
