I know I’m definitely no expert when it comes to planning weddings.
And while big weddings aren’t my thing, I totally understand that stressed-out, cash-strapped brides are looking for frugal ways to keep their lives sane on one of the happiest days of their lives.
Here’s a list of a few free wedding planning resources I’ve discovered.
Wedding Templates on Google Docs. Oh, how I adore Google Docs. There are loads of great free wedding planning templates to help you organize your day, and it is easy to share your documents with anyone you want.
The Knot. For the serious bride, The Knot has just about anything you could ever want for planning a fairytale wedding. Enter your wedding date and you’ll get personalized checklists. Create a wedding website, register for gifts, and visit the message boards for advice on how to handle your mother-in-law.
Wedding Wire. The Wedding Wire has an extensive collection of wedding planning worksheets, including a budget worksheet that you can even set to remind you when vendors need to be paid. You can create your own wedding website, and track those RSVPs.
Wedding Details. Wedding Details lacks a lot of style, but the free info in the center of the page is useful: including checklists for the groom, how to pick appropriate wedding attire for beach weddings, and a cake cutting guide.
My Wedding Workbook. My Wedding Workbook is a free online wedding planning workbook. Everything from budgets to guestlists are done online, so you don’t have to have a big heavy binder. If binders are your thing, you can download and print all your information.
