Things Celebrated by Cheapskates

Earlier this week, I wrote about things that frustrate cheapskates.

I don’t want you to think that I spend my time being bothered by life’s money-wasters.  So today I’ve come up with a list of things we cheapskates love.

Here’s my list of things celebrated by cheapskates:

  • Coupons for free products. (Did you see last week’s Sunday paper?  Free Frank’s Hot Sauce!)
  • A great clearance sale.
  • Frugal bloggers and deal forums.  These hardworking folks make it easy to be frugal.
  • Being able to fix something you thought you couldn’t fix.
  • Cars that are paid for.
  • Garage sales, thrift stores, estate sales, and Freecycle.
  • Money in the bank.
  • Good health.
  • Simplicity.  I don’t need diamonds or flowers or fancy dinners.  Just the funny handmade cards my husband gives me are enough.
  • Love.  It’s all you need.

Okay, Cheapskates – Your turn!  What are some things you love?

I love my library! Free books and movies. I know my taxes pay for it, but I'mingeses sure I get my money's worth.

The comraderie of fellow cheapskates, especially if you can go shopping together. "There are the clearance racks! Go go go!" "Ooh, I have a coupon for that!"

Money in the bank is my number one (after family of course). Then coupons for free things, freebies in the mail, and my bread machine.

Free samples! (can't remember the last time I paid for shampoo) And toy sales earlier in the year — I'm already looking for Christmas gifts.
