Kids in Grades 1-6 can get a free book from Barnes and Noble when they participate in the Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program.

Here’s how it works:

  • Read any eight books this summer and record them in your Barnes and Noble Passport. Be sure to document the location you visit in each book.
  • Bring your completed Passport to a Barnes & Noble store between May 25 and September 7, 2010.

This program is for kids in grades one through six and is limited to one book per child.

This is a great way to get your kids reading and to add a new book to your children’s library.

(Thanks to Baby Good Buys for the tip!)

What do you think they mean by "recording each place you visit" for each book? Where the story takes place? Or are you supposed to read at B&N or something?? Or just read in your room, outside, park, etc? Weird.

Thanks for letting me know about this :)

@ Jenny – I hope they just mean the setting of the story! I'm thinking they just want a cute way for your child to prove they read the book. You'll have to ask at your local Barnes and Noble!
