Well, after much thought, I finally took up Weight Watchers again – this time the online version.
While the new lifestyle is working well for me (I’ve lost 5 pounds!), I’m still figuring out how to eat well without breaking the bank. My grocery spending was a little out of whack in March, as I spent more money on low and no points foods (Fruits and vegetables. In my house. Amazing!). I truly appreciate your comments and suggestions and will be working on reducing these costs.
Because of the diet and the extra expenses in the grocery budget, we were very good at avoiding eating out. I am getting better at meal planning because of Weight Watchers – if I truly want this to work, I have to think about what we’re eating for the entire day.
While the extra expense bothers me, I have been reminding myself that my health is worth it, and that I will actually be saving money in the long run if I take good care of myself now.
I bought a new pair of walking shoes, and fitness is next on my list of things to tackle. The biggest challenge in that arena is finding time to exercise with three little boys around.
I’m already thinking ahead to the summer months and planning various projects for around the house. I think a decluttering is definitely in order.
How did your month go? What goals are you working on for April?

My mom has found that the amount she saves in not going out to eat makes up for what she pays for Weight Watchers – so in the long run, you definitely will be saving money. Plus, sometimes it's worth it to make an investment for good health!
