If you’re looking for away to help your child stay on top of his/her chores, you should check out MyJobChart.

A friend of mine is using MyJobChart with her middle-school age boys and they are loving it.  She said it’s really been a useful tool for motivating her kids to get things done.

Here’s how it works.   You set up a free account at MyJob Chart and create log-ins for you and your kids.  Then you assign jobs you want each child to do and come up with rewards.

You assign each job a points value.  As your child completes their chores, they log it in their account.  They can then turn those points in for rewards that you set.  Ideas for rewards could be everything from staying up late, to skipping a chore, to money or a special treat.

This is a really easy program to use with lots of ways to customize it for your family.  Our boys are too young for this, but when they’re able to read and use the computer, you can bet we’ll definitely give MyJobChart a try.
