Those of you who read my blog regularly, may already know this: I’m a huge fan of Trent Hamm and his blog The Simple Dollar.
His commonsense advice on every possible area of personal finance has served as an inspiration for me as we make our frugal journey.
Trent Hamm’s latest book, The Simple Dollar: How One Man Wiped Out His Debts and Achieved the Life of His Dreams, is just as inspiring as his blog.
In the book, Hamm shares his own personal story with debt and how he escaped the shackles of it. The book is loaded with great ideas to help you get rid of your own debt. Each chapter has an easy to follow punch list of 5 things you can do to work on your finances.
Yet, this book is much more than a how-to guide. It also delves into the psychology of how you spend your money, questions what things you value and why they’re important to you, and encourages you to set realistic, achievable goals for your future.
Written in simple, easy-to-to-understand terms and full of sure-to-inspire ideas, The Simple Dollar by Trent Hamm is a must-read for anyone serious about getting out of debt and staying out.

I also follow Trent’s blog and think it would be wonderful to get a chance to win and read his book!
Always looking for inspiration! Looking forward to reading his book!
This would be great to get ideas to help us financially.
My husband & I just completed Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. This book would be a great way to continue our journey to becoming debt free!
My husband and I have been changing our spending and saving habits for the last two years and I have seen the difference but I really feel that we’ve hit a wall in our progress; there is no more “latte factor” in our house and I think it would help to have a fresh perspective that might add something I hadn’t read or thought of yet to advance my savings. Thanks for the link to the Blog, I had never heard of it but will certainly check it out!
I would like to win because I follow Trent’s blog daily.
I follow the Simple Dollar and enjoy the his blog very much.

I would love to win a copy of this book. I am always interested in ways to save.
So looking forward to learning some new finance advice
I’m just starting out on my own and would love to read the book and start my new life off right!
My husband and I are retired and on a fixed income. I read the Simple Dollar and would love to read his book on how he got out of debt. We are still paying a mortgage and a home equity loan!
I also follow his blog and I find it really inspiring. I have been trying really hard to change the way we spend money, so we can actually have some left at the end of the month. I know I still have a long way to go, especially with convincing my husband and kids that this is important, but I know I can do it!!
I try to save money where I can but it is just overwhelming. I do need simple step by step instructions to go by. Thanks for the opportunity.
Sounds like a great book for my son !
I would like to win The Simple Dollar because I need all the help I can get to stay out of debt. I was laid off 10 months ago but, because I’ve always been frugal and with the help of unemployment, I’ve been keeping our family of four afloat just fine.
I LOVE to read The Simple Dollar and would really enjoy reading more of Trent’s fantastic writing and money-management tips.
I’ve read his blog off and on for a very long time and am interested in what he put in his book.
I’ve been a fan for a long time and would love a copy of Trent’s book.
I lost my job because of “downsizing”. Now, we are a family with just one paycheck coming in. I really need help with my finances. The book would be nice to win. Thanks!
My husband and I are just coming off a year of me not working. He is retired. Our financial situation has taken a fast ride down a steep hill. I will be going back to work in the next 2 weeks so I can begin to start digging ourselves out of the debt hole we are in. This book should be full of great strategies to get us going on the right path!!
This defnitely sounds like a book my family could use!
I just recently discovered Trents blog and like his approach to personal finance. I’d love to read the book!
I love to read The Simple Dollar and had been thinking that I would buy Trent’s book. But it would be much more frugal to win it. :) I like his personal approach, and understand that the book encompasses a lot of that. Also, one reason I particularly enjoy reading Trent’s blog is because I am originally from Iowa, as he is.
I’m always looking for ways to stretch my finances
I would love to win this book. I have a daughter who could really use some advice on getting out of debt.
Always interested in new perspectives on saving.
I am an avid reader of Trent’s blog, and I think that he is a great writer. I have been excited about the upcoming book since he posted about a couple of months ago. I think that his was of looking at financial issues is very much my speed.
I desperately N E E D this book!! My husband and I are both retired and disabled. Somehow, along the way, we have lost sight of discussing our finances – each of us paying certain individual household bills – never questioning the other. I’ve already implemented several of Trent’s suggestions for saving on expenses, etc., but still find myself having “more month than money”. We neither one have huge personal debts, but definitely need help with ways to dramatically reduce what we do have so we could start enjoying our forced retirement while still reasonably able to do so.
I’ve never heard of Trent or his blog before, but now I’m intrigued with his financial story. I’d really like to read this book.
Am always looking for new ideas to save money and be more financially secure with 4 children. Thanks!
