College Students: Free 2-Day Shipping at Amazon

This is a reminder for all of you who are college students (or may have one in your life):

If you’re enrolled in at least one college course, you can sign up for a free one-year subscription to Amazon Prime.

What does that mean?

You can get FREE unlimited 2-Day shipping on qualifying purchases from Amazon.com for the entire year!

This is a $79 value.  There’s no minimum order requirements and you can upgrade to one-day shipping for $3.99 per item.

You’ll need an e-mail address that ends with .edu to qualify, and Amazon reserves the right to ask for proof of your student status.  According to the terms, you only need to be enrolled in one course to qualify.

You can cancel your membership at any time.  And be sure to set your account preferences so that your membership doesn’t automatically renew or  you’ll be paying that $79 next year.

If you’re not a college student, you can still sign up for a one-month free trial of Amazon Prime.   Not nearly as good as a whole free year, but good if you need something shipped in a hurry.
