Create Quick and Easy Lunches for About $1

Even before I had my three busy boys, lunchtime has been a struggle for me. I like my lunches to be fun, tasty, inexpensive, and quick.

Unfortunately, that often ends up being a boring peanut butter sandwich.

Thankfully, Kraft Foods and Sam’s Club have teamed up to create Lunchtime for about $1. Lunchtime for about a $1 is a new promotion which includes a collection of 8 quick and yummy meals you can make easily and affordably at home. Each serving costs about $1, and most of the lunch ideas include a beverage and a dessert.

The Lunchtime for about $1 recipe collection is a free download that offers a suggested shopping list for Sam’s Club.

Shopping for items in bulk at Sam’s Club can be a great way to save money – especially if you’re feeding a large family. Leftovers you don’t use can easily be stored in air-tight containers in your freezer.

Of course, you don’t have to be a Sam’s Club member to download the recipe booklet, and some of the items on the shopping list are things you probably already have on hand in your pantry.

If you want to try visiting Sam’s, you can download a free one-day Sam’s Club pass. (There is a 10 percent service charge for this special pass, but you’ll still find some great deals to make the charge worth it).

I highly recommend marking your calendars because on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27, Sam’s Club will give you a chance to sample many of the recipes featured in the Lunchtime for about $1 program.

Keep watching my blog: I’ll be trying out one of these lunchtime recipes and sharing my thoughts on saving money when it comes to preparing lunches at home in an upcoming post. You’ll also want to stay tuned for an awesome giveaway I have planned for you!

Disclosure: I am one of three bloggers selected by Kraft Foods and Sam’s Club to participate in the Kraft Foods and Sam’s Club Lunchtime for about $1 program. While I have been compensated for my time and grocery costs, my opinions are my own and I have not been paid to post positive comments.

This looks like a good resource. Most of my lunches that I take to work are leftovers.
