Last weekend was a long weekend for us, because we all had either a cold, a stomach flu, or both. So I’m glad we’re feeling better and able to move onto better things… like good reading!

I’m so tired of no one taking responsibility for their spending. I’ve seen it at all levels of society, all levels of government. That’s why I enjoyed Don McNay’s post “We Need a Rehab Program for Spenders” at The Huffington Post.

I learned a few new tips this week on saving on shipping when you order online thanks to the Shopping Journal post “Attention Online Shoppers: The Ultimate Shipping Toolkit.”

I’ve been thinking more about gardening and composting, so I enjoyed this post from Simple Mom on “Composting Bins: Benefits, Rules and How to Make Your Own.”

Here are some good ideas for “Storing Board Games and Puzzles” from Unclutterer.

Living Well On Less has a great post connecting the push for frugality and a thinner waistline with her post Learning To Jump Right Back On The Wagon.

And last, but not least, check out how our Alaskan friends stretch their dollars.

Happy Reading!
