I’m not sure if you’ve noticed this, but razors and razor blades are expensive!
Extend the life of your razors with a simple trick.
After each use, dry off your razor blade with a clean, soft towel or cloth. If you get into this simple habit, you can make that expensive razor blade last for months instead of weeks.
Of course, if you really want to be cheap, you could just quit shaving all together!
Check out our other cheap tricks to help you save time and money and be sure to share your own cheap trick with us. You just might see it end up in a future Cheap Trick post!

My husband does this and it works! Me, I’m not so good at it…but he has been using a “disposable” razor since mid-October by religiously keeping the blade dry. I had purchased four cans of shaving cream (with coupons and on sale natch). The razors were attached as a freebie. So…he still has three left. By my calculations that’s another year’s worth of shaving for no out of pocket.
You can extend the life even longer by incorporating proper storage after drying. I use about 3 blades per year with lonzworld.com

Such a great tip! I am trying to get rid of disposable items so I recently switched to an electric razor. It’s like learning to shave all over again! Haha!

I have never tried an electric razor, but I do like the idea of using less disposable stuff! I may have to try that.
