Swapping our decorations for the holidays can be fun, but can also become costly if we’re not careful.
So when I thought about Easter, I wanted to make sure I came up with an inexpensive idea.
I made two Easter centerpieces for about $5.50. The only material I had on hand was the ribbon, which you need to add another another $1 to the cost if you had to purchase it at Dollar Tree.
I often like to purchase items at the Dollar Tree because I know everything would cost me one dollar, but sometimes there might be supplies you can get that are actually cheaper if you buy them some other place.
In this case I went to Wal-Mart which was very close in proximity to my Dollar Tree to see how much items were there first. While I was there I picked up the daffodils for 97-cents for a sprig of 6 flowers and the Easter grass for 38-cents (which is obviously $1 at Dollar Tree.) They had similar vases there, but they wanted 3 times as much for them as Dollar Tree. Also, Wal-Mart did have Jelly Beans in this same size for 97-cents, I took a chance that the ones at Dollar Tree would have more in there and bought them there, but for a few pennies I wasn’t going to run back to Wal-Mart.
Assembling this was simple enough that anyone could do it. All you need is wire cutters to cut apart the individual flowers. Create your layers of Easter Grass (I only used about 1/2 the bag of this), jelly beans, and Easter Grass. Insert your flower stems. Then tie a bow on it.
These Easter centerpieces took me about 5 minutes to assemble and are going to look fun and springy on our table for Easter.
I love that I will already have jelly beans for us to enjoy and I am already thinking about how I can re-use these 2 vases for some other centerpieces. I’m thinking candle holders.
Also, I can untie the ribbon and use it for something else very easily and the Easter grass can be put back in the bag to use again in a centerpiece next year. I am sure I will find something fun to re-use the flower for, perhaps I will let the kids play with it and “plant” flowers in the Double Decker Clubhouse we built for them.
Another idea to use some of the jelly beans, would be to make this Jelly Bean Easter Egg Craft that kids can help sew together. Or try out this Easter Bunny Garland, which is quick and easy to make with little investment. Cute and simple Easter decoration! I would be eating those jelly beans quickly though.. I don’t know how you resist yourself while making a craft. :)

Cute and simple, and won’t go to waste after, either! (I’m sure someone will want those jelly beans!) Great idea!
That centerpiece is so easy! I love the concept and you can use just about any candy you can think of if you’re not a fan of jelly beans! Awesome idea!

These are adorable. I need to make some Easter decor. I love going to Dollar Tree for certain things too.
These are some beautiful centerpieces to go ahead with for the Easter. I usually have a habit of doing a quick make over during every special occasion & one such creative DIY work will do wonders for the Easter.
