Now you can access your Amazon music purchases from any computer using Amazon Cloud Drive.
When you sign up for the Amazon Cloud Drive, you’ll get 5GB of free online storage on the Amazon Cloud Drive. Use the 5GB to store up to 1,000 songs, or use it to back up photos, videos or documents. You can also purchase additional online storage packages starting at $20/year.
This is a great way to store data without having to worry about a computer crash. And you don’t need any special software to upload and download data from the Amazon Cloud Drive – just a web browser. You can use Amazon cloud on your computer or on your Android.
When you buy music from the Amazon MP3 Store, you can save your purchases to your Cloud Drive and listen to your music from any web-connected computer with the Amazon Cloud Player. The songs you purchase from the Amazon MP3 store don’t count toward your storage quota.
Amazon also has a special offer available: Buy any MP3 album from Amazon and 20 GB of online storage for free on the Amazon Cloud Drive for one year. This is a $20 value and the offer is good through 12/31/11. You’ll find 23 fabulous MP3 albums for $3.99 or less – which makes this a fabulous deal if you’re looking to store a lot of stuff online.
Having an external hard drive is a great start to protecting your data in the event of a computer crash. But if you face a devastating fire, theft, or natural disaster, you’ll want to make sure some of your important data (especially photos) are stored offsite using a service like Amazon Cloud.
