Frugal folks cared about the environment before it was cool. They would rather patch and repair than throw something in a landfill.
So what types of things do frugal folks have around their homes to help them make do?
Duct tape. You can repair all kinds of things. Some folks even make clothing out of the stuff. Get creative. This stuff holds things together for a long time.
Clear packing tape. (For when you need a classier looking repair). I used clear packing tape to repair a ripped vinyl bedroom shade.
Super glue. Great for porcelain and things with small parts.
Nail Polish remover. (For when you accidentally glue your fingers together!) It’s also good for getting magic marker off of hands.
Basic tools. Every home needs a hammer, screwdrivers, needlenose pliers, and an adustable wrench.
A mini sewing kit. You don’t have to be a seamstress. You just need to know how to sew buttons and make minor repairs.
This is a very basic list. There are so many more things you can use to help you make something last. What are some frugal fixes in your tool box?
