I’ve been so busy recently, it’s been hard to keep up with all of the great reading out there. Here are my thoughts on a few posts I recommend checking out.
One of my favorite frugal living bloggers is Trent from The Simple Dollar. I love not only most of what he has to say, but also the way he says it. A couple of weeks ago, he had a very thoughtful piece about cultural divides. This is something I think about often as a rural dweller, and think his post is well worth the look. We all have a lot to learn from each other.
Although I don’t get to go as often as I like, I am a big fan of estate sales. JD at Get Rich Slowly has a great post about How to Shop at an Estate Sale. I agree with JD – estate sales are great because they’re usually whole household sales – and you can find some great everyday things.
And finally, although this isn’t really a frugal living post, I was moved by Chief Family Officer‘s post Trust Your Parenting Instincts – They’re Probably Right. It is so very important to be your child’s advocate. I’m learning that now as one of my boys is navigating the world of speech therapy.
