When it comes to saving money on groceries and household items, a lot of people buy generic goods.
But which is better: Generic or name brand items?
Some argue that generics are basically the same as name brands but cost a fraction of the price. Others argue that there is a quality control difference and that you get what you pay for.
Our attitude has been to purchase the best values. Sometimes it is generics, such as when we purchase over-the-counter medications. Other times, a good sale combined with manufacturer and store coupons make a name brand item a better deal than buying generic.
So what do you think? Do you buy generic? Or do you only go with name brands?
