I’ve been thinking a lot about how long food lasts ever since I completed my most recent Eat from the Pantry Challenge.
So I found this graphic (courtesy of All You) interesting:

I’m assuming that this graphic indicates the shelf life of these foods based on freshness, quality, and safety. And those are good things to follow.
But if you’ve ever been truly hungry, you know that the shelf life of a lot of these food products can be longer. Sure, they may not taste as great as they usually do, but they are still edible. And most of them probably won’t even kill you.
I like to use charts like this as a guide, but not a gospel. Take the advice under consideration, but use your own judgment.
