If you’ve read this blog for any period of time, you know that I’m a firm believer of the idea that little things add up to big things. It doesn’t matter if you’re growing your own food, taking online surveys, clipping coupons or finding mail-in rebates. Every little bit you do to save money or make money adds up.
That’s why I was intrigued by this infographic created by the folks at Points.com entitled How to Live on Loyalty Rewards. I have often relied on loyalty rewards to stretch my budget. I’ve used programs like Pampers Gifts to Grow, Kellogg’s Family Rewards, and My Coke Rewards to earn gift cards, magazine subscriptions, and more for my family. I’ve used programs like Swagbucks and MyPoints to earn free gift cards for the holidays. I’ve taken advantage of store loyalty programs to save money on everything from gas to groceries. And I’m a big proponent of earning credit card rewards with my purchases.
But can you really live on loyalty rewards?
Check out the infographic below and see what perks you’ve been missing:

But if you’re loyal to a particular store or product and are willing to invest the time, it is possible to give your budget a little shot in the arm now and then with your loyalty rewards. Pay attention to how the programs work and read the e-mails they send you. You will find that some loyalty rewards programs offer special bonuses or discounts on rewards that can really help you.

It is impressive. I didn’t think much of the royalty points but thankfully my partner got air mile cards for both of us. Recently we traveled to far east free thanks to our points. Also, we didn’t realize that we were upgraded to airline lounge free as well. Now, we can wait in their lounge where there is free food and drinks. Isn’t it great? I thought only rich people could get into those lounges.
