Sorry You Bought TurboTax? Get H&R Block Free

By Justin Weinger Leave a Comment

H&R Block Tax SoftwareIf you’re an early bird who already bought TurboTax 2014, you may have been unpleasantly surprised to discover that many of the forms that used to be included with the software now come with additional fees.

This can mean paying an additional $20  to $40 or even more to file your tax forms on top of what you paid for the software.

Because of this, H&R Block is giving a free copy of the H&R Block Deluxe + State 2014tax preparation software to anyone who has already bought this year’s TurboTax software and is unhappy with their purchase.

To claim the free H&R Block Deluxe + State software send an email to SwitchToBlock@hrblock.com and include your name, address, phone number, the type of operating system you use (Windows/Mac), and your TurboTax 2014 proof of purchase (a photo or scan of your store receipt or the email showing your download code).  You can read more about the free offer here.

Once you’ve sent that information, you should receive an email for one free download of H&R Block Deluxe + State.  According to H&R Block, can easily import last year’s tax return directly from TurboTax into H&R Block’s software for free.

Regardless of what software you choose, be sure to check out our other ways to save money on your tax preparation so you can make the most of your hard-earned cash.
