Today is National Library Workers Day, a day to celebrate all of those folks who help us search through shelves and shelves of resources to find just what we’re looking for. It’s a day to celebrate all of the children’s librarians who have read our kids stories so that we can have a few minutes of peace. It’s a day to celebrate those whose love of books has helped lead us to a love of books.
This week is also National Library Week. I’ve said it many times, but I’ll say it again: Libraries are a frugal person’s best friend. You can access the internet, find the latest bestselling novel, read magazines, check out DVDs and music, attend interesting and enlightening programs for both adults and children, and so much more, all for FREE.
So thank a librarian today. They work hard to make sure we can access any information we could possibly ask for!
